As an employed taxpayer, why am i not entitled to a government sponsored home improvement grant?if you have 8 kids, sponge off the state and have never done a days work in your life you are entitled to the full benefits of the welfare state and not only that, where i live, grants to have your private home improved with gas central heating, loft insulation and double glazing to name a few. Yet, as a full time worker i am entitled to fuck all -is this honest?

I bought a home as an investment and was wondering if I was eligible for government grants? I bought my first home as a junior in college, but due to a lack of income had to add my grandparents as my co-signers. Now the material goods is listed as an investment material goods even though I am living in it. I chose i might as well make the most out of it and rent out the bedrooms to friends since it was already classified as an investment material goods. It was built in 1904 and sits in a historic district, meaning it has breezy windows, lack of insullation, lack of central air/heat. It is very energy-INefficient. I want to look for some government grants to help me fund some of the projects I need to do to the house to bring it back up to the homes in the rest of the neighborhood. I am currenly attending college so my income is low, and the house is not a registered historic landmark. Where or who do i call to find out information about receiving grants?

Loft conversion Cost?Hi, im 15 and being honest know hardly anything about building etc.

Our home has a loft/attic, which is half converted? idk how to place it. It has electrics, lighting, and is basically huge enough to walk around in etc. Now, if this was to be converted into a bedroom, how much would we be looking at?

I’ll repeat whats already there. Its huge enough to stand & walk around in, its fitted with plugs/electrics, i do NOT reflect its insulated, there is NO central heating, NO windows etc.
