2011 Baylor IMG Sports Network Radio Affiliates Announced
WACO (August 28, 2011) – Every snap of the 2011 Baylor football season will be carried in the Lone Star state on the Baylor IMG Sports Network and nationally on Sirius Satellite Radio, school officials announced today. The Bears open their 2011 season Sept. 2 at 7 p.m. against defending Rose Bowl champion TCU in Waco.
“Our Baylor IMG team, led by General Manager Doug McNamee, has put together another strong football radio network,” said Nick Joos, Baylor’s Executive Associate Athletic Director/External Affairs. “In addition, we are pleased that IMG was recently able to secure another two-year agreement with Sirius Satellite Radio, and of course, we will continue to offer our fans all of our broadcasts free of charge world-wide through web streaming at baylorbears.com.
"The strength of our network is the quality of our stations, and it starts with our Waco flagship, and continues throughout the state,” he added.
Waco's ESPN Radio KRZI 1660AM again returns as the flagship station for all Baylor Athletic broadcasts, and recently signed a five-year agreement with IMG to continue in that role.
Baylor football will have a new radio home in the Dallas-Fort Worth Metroplex, as Newstalk 660 AM, KSKY, will now carry the Bears’ broadcasts. KSKY is also available at 92.9 FM in Dallas, 95.5 FM in Arlington and 99.9 FM in Fort Worth.
In addition to Waco and Dallas-Fort Worth, play-by-play of the 2011 Bears will also air in Abilene (KSLI, 1280AM), Austin (KXZN-AM & KWNX-AM 1530 / 1260*), Houston (KNTH, 1070AM) Killeen (KHLE, 106.9FM), Lubbock (KFYO-AM & KKAN-AM 790 /1340) Lufkin (KYBI, 100.1FM), San Antonio (KSLR, 630AM) and Tyler (KPXI, 100.7FM). An Amarillo affiliate is still being secured.
The "Voice of the Bears," John Morris, will handle the play-by-play duties for the Baylor IMG team, which will mark his 25th year broadcasting Baylor football. Former Baylor standout J.J. Joe will provide color for the broadcast. Other members of the 2011 Baylor football radio broadcast crew include sideline reporter Ricky Thompson, engineer Craig Harper and IMG Network studio host Bradford Hines.

C'mon we have played only two games this year with zero off season practice or OTA's. Mario is a smart, talented athlete. Get off his back and quit the ignorant trade talk. He did not learn the 4-3 in a couple of weeks so get real. We have played and beat two playoff teams in this preseason. It does get the team into a winner's mindset. Two more preseason games to go and then we take on the Colts. I see that the team is solidly focused on the Sept. 11th game and not reading the press clippings from these early practice games. I don't fault the morons who call in as much as the hosts who seem to encourage this babble. I like what I see in the Texans and am behind them 100% I agree about the haters calling in, I just cannot stand Josh Innes hating on the good people of Houston, and their sports teams....by extension, college teams as well. He frequently mocks the team, the fans, family values, etc. Basically if you are not a lesbian loving liberal atheist, Josh has no use for you. Man this guy is rich! I just refuse to listen anymore to the vile spew from Josh Innes. If I forget and get my kids and they hear this windbag and his bluck, then I have to explain too much. Get him off of prime time/drive time.
