Honest appraisal of my red flags

I have a 206/85 Step I score. I took the CK last week and I'm expecting a better score by at least a few points (prepared better, did better on assessments, felt better during test). I'm taking the CS on 9/7. Unfortunately, my CK score won't be in until late September or early October (new test format means 6 week wait time). No research, some volunteer and extracurricular stuff. Good clinical grades (all As and 2 B). 3 good LORs. U.S. citizen. my red flags and i have plenty. honestly i can't believe i got myself into the situation i am in now. i am 29, US citizen, FMG. I started med school in 2004 and will finish 1/2012. yes, it has taken me 8 years to complete basic and clinical sciences. the main reason for this was because i couldn't start my rotation until i passed step 1, which i did after 5 failures. on the 6th (and my final attempt before dropping out of med school) i passed with a 193/78. I did all my clinicals in the US and passed step 2 on the 2nd attempt with 202/83. I have taken CS and am now waiting for results. No research, just did volunteering. I want to apply to family and psych. What can i do to improve my chances? I don't even feel i'm eligible to apply to most places because of my failures. I am desperate to match and will do anything i have to pass, even if i have to take one more year off to take and pass step 3 I have a 206/85 Step I score. I took the CK last week and I'm expecting a better score by at least a few points (prepared better, did better on assessments, felt better during test). I'm taking the CS on 9/7. Good clinical grades (all As and 2 B). 3 good LORs.
