A study by Princeton University found that a significant number of those tested could recall more information when it was presented in unusual typefaces rarely used in textbooks.

The research suggests that introducing ‘disfluency’ – by making information superficially harder to understand – deepens the process of learning and encourages better retention.

The psychologists said information which has to be actively generated rather than ‘passively acquired’ from simple text is remembered longer and more accurately.

We tried that on a sign that was out in front of our fire station. We would put up messages to inform the public when it was time to change batteries in smoke detectors and things like that. So we started to misspell words on purpose to catch the peoples attention and thinking it would stick in their minds better. It worked for a while until the neighboring high school complained that it looked bad to the school children if grown firefighters couldn’t spell wright. BUSTED. The Chief called and told us that he knew what we were doing and kinda agreed with us but we had to put things in perspective and do our civic duty ans spell the words wright. and yes I no how to spell wright the right way. lol and know also :-)

Heck, this technique doesn’t work at all on me, Capman. I won’t remember anything you said. I need good looking fonts, in the right order and in black colour on white background preferably. Or I swear I’ll beat the learning outta my brain!!! Oh yeah. At 180MPH.

Don’t read books. Don’t read anything, any sign, any mark, forwards or backwards. Don’t listen to any advice. Don’t pay attention to anybody. Just charge right away into the heat, into the fight, into the action. That will pimp yar learning curve quite a bit, Capman (provided you survive the lesson, of course). Trust me on that!

Hello Michael, so good to hear from you my friend. Thank you so much for your post/ reply to me, very much appreciated. It looks like your having fun with your guitar, and lessons, that is cool, I could lie and tell you I’m alright, but I’m not, not feeling good at all, and this site that I claim and call mt home away from home, where I could share/give, and receive get, I got something wrong here, people, have turn their backs giving me the cold shoulder, over any and everything that I thought could possibly, and things that I may not even remember or know of to trigger or even come close to justifying this total misjudging, and treatment, that has resently been thrust upon me, I been giving a hangman jury, I have been judged and labeled by my fellow friends, and classmates, and they didn’t even give me a reason, or how or what gives them the right to do this, totally one-sided issue that they favor, my side, or what I have to say, they fall on deaf ears. I got blacklisted apparently by theses apparently people are able to pass judgement with a cause or reason, and willn’t confront me, or even try to talk to me to as to the problem is, what it is in a clear and straight manner like it is, why, they have made me the enemy, the one in the wrong, I think this is way to narrow minded, and leaves no chance to get to the bottom of this totally wrong way to go about treating a friend, they avoid me altogether, and willn’t post, reply, or anything, I tried to be humble and make a truce, even thought I wasn’t and still can’t find a straight and plain truth or the false truth, or misunderstood truth, I said for us to rise above such petty and childish behaviour to make it into a finger pointing, who did what to who first, trying to put all the blame on the other. I pleaded, begged, ask for forgiveness, totally and truthfully apologized, and was totally truthfully honest, and meant every single word with total and complete honesty. I shouldn’t have had to do so, but I just wanted peace, harmony, and brotherly love, and a total truce made between us, but they are not, even giving me a chance in the slightest, why should, I always have to beg plead and ask for forgiveness just to get someone to be my friend, or have to use this type of manner to even get people to posts or reply, communicate with a friend, why should I be forced to do this to keep getting any kind of replies, but that isn’t even working anymore, This road should be a 2 way street, and I’ll I ever wanted is peace. I go way out of my way to post, and reply, greet, compliment, and wish them peace and love, say hello, and end most with see you soon, or something to show them I want them to come back to me as a friend, not a totally mislabeling, and misjudging, and a total case of misjustice, They have become a Mob, and I guess I’m the fool, the sinner, the only one to do wrong, and I’m not even coming close, or known what the deal is with them. My conscious is clean, anything I said or done in Err, I have tried to clarify and straighten this out, like I said friendship, family, and love and peace, and forgiveness and understanding should be the up most, and value this above all else. That is all part of being human, and we are do or say things or actions may be offensive or seen differently, it’s all in the eye of the beholder, and what you make it out to be in your mind, in the bible, and just the friend and fellow friends proper way of conduct, and not this totally mislead, and totally wrong way to find it upon themselves, in the shadows, and the dark, behind the back of their fellow man, making themselves able to completely judge, and pass this judgement, without care or concern. None is talking, communicating, or posting, or just send a friendly or something at times to let me know that they are there and care. This is all I ask, and ever wanted. Nothing more, nothing less, this is the absolute truth that I’m convey as too this Hot For Words group, have, cast me out, and willn’t even give me a chance, or even try to understand or forgive, for whatever it could be, I don’t know, they willn’t tell me anything, but yet cling to this, like a prized possession, that they finally got their long and everlasting friend to them, seen me totally broken, and they have ripped out my heart, and have taken everything away from me. Leaving standing all alone, tossed out and thrown out like a bag of garbage, I’m a real man, made out of flesh , blood, and bone, and have emotions , feelings, and everything else just the same, in the overall way we were made. We are all different in our own ways, but that is just part of life. I could go on guess, say I’m sorry, or try to explain, and set this, talk until my face turned blue, and even by by lose of breathe, and they still don’t heed me. Well that is my side of the truth was I see it, just check my posts, in the last week or longer, My Animated Story, and The Dougie lessons, and you will see next to nothing, or if any comments at all can be found, they aren’t true, I was told, that it was because it was the weekend, that no one was responding to me, but that is way past and gone, and still the same problem persists, with the last 2 or more lessons they have taken this to the ultimate extreme, and I got a few other messages that only hinted, or tried to make a point though a very vague, and way to openly way to tell what it is that these messages mean. I felt on stated casting the first stone, and the little things we must bare, I was inserted for some reason, into one of my posts, that they need not view look at, or like Marina said, just don’t watch it, I you don’t like it, no one was forcing or making them view the post in question, that had nothing what so ever to do with them or anybody else, just expressing myself through, what I call art, a way of expressing ones self openly , and not critisized for doing this, I don’t single them out, and judge what they are using as to express, or convey part or their selves, up until this totally bogus wrap I have got against me, what a way to treat a friend and classmate, and leave it completely one-sided affair, they carry this without care or concern to what all this has done to me, and it just isn’t right, talk about your truthful and wright way to handle this matter. I post questionable content, ,but I have warned them in the past not to view if your easily offended, or don’t like such type of content, and mostly posted for the over picture by myself, with a few dropping in from time to time, and just before this recent execution of me, they did start posting on a more regular basis. So that’s why I still hold on and keep going, and be a friend, classmate, in every way and shape of the term! And one other, and 2 possibly, but that has been closed out, and canceled beyond their side or reasoning, which there shouldn’t be anything in this world to get shafted like I have. They are trying to completely destroy, and disguard me altogether, And after all I have done, always contributing ,and way beyond most in my postings, and replies, and even send private messages without any begging pleading, or have to ask me to. No I would’t go that low, just like Jesus said, “Why have you forsaken me! Well I’m sorry for going on, but this is very and truly important to settle this, After 2 years + of total friendship and and peace, and all the way beyond extra efforts I put forth to post, replies, Or just talk to someone, especially a good friend. It is very cold, and snowing out in my area, how about you whats the weather like your way, Let me know how your feeling, what your up too. I very much enjoyed the conversation, even though I had to bring this total blinded and wrong way to treat me here, Keep me informed, and any time you get the chance or feel like it, never even hesitate to let me know about every and anything, you may feel to share, I’m always here, like friends, and classmates, and even as a fellow man should be, we are all a part of this race, in some , way, shape, or form.
