College Board Launches YouCanGo! Resource for Students Considering College

"The board of the College believes that every student can do at the university," said John Lee, policy director for the Defense Policy Center and College Board. "The hard part is for each student to believe YouCanGo says something that every prospective student needs to hear:.!. There are students like them who have made college a reality"
YouCanGo!video features testimonials from real college students who have overcome obstacles and adversity to achieve their dreams come true college. By sharing their personal stories, these students provide a path to success for others facing similar challenges. The site also provides information on common concerns of students, such as the cost of college grades and test results, the proximity of the house and how to balance a college schedule with other obligations.
A key aspect of YouCanGo! is the ability for students to make a public promise about their goals and aspirations of the colleges.In a world of social media, sharing experiences, dreams and commitments with peers is part of the life of every young person. YouCanGo! allows students and pledged to share their motivations college with family and friends through Facebook or email.
"Building a support system is key to success," said Lee.
