A (fake) blonde Tina Fey from New Jersey. Or perhaps a Digital Oprah, but with freckles and a fedora. Or maybe I'm best described by my admiration for both of those women and what they do.
• What's your background as a writer: how did you come to writing, what do you like about it, what are some key credits, and can you share any interesting experiences or an anecdote or two?
I wrote a fable in rhyme at the age of 8 about a sneezing lion, which was my biggest achievement until 2009, when I wrote an online dramedy about average New Yorkers adjusting to life during the economic crisis called Downsized ( www.downsizedthewebseries.com ), which is now in its second season. I've always been interested in finding entertaining ways to tell socially relevant stories.

I am a member of SAG and AFTRA and have been for many years.
• What other entertainment industry organizations, if any, are you a member of? (Motion Picture Academy, TV Academy, BAFTA, professional associations, etc.)
I am a member of New York Women in Film and Television and the International Academy of Digital Arts and Sciences, the organization which votes on the Webbys.

By comparison, new episodes of daytime soaps are shown on almost every weekday of the year (except for holidays or when there are major sporting events such as the NCAA basketball tournament). Most daytime soaps are 60 minutes long with commercials (about 40-45 minutes long without commercials).

Susan Lucci earns in the millions. Most veteran actors do. And some had to take a pay cut recently. As the economy gets better, they’re sure to get increases. They’re not ‘hurting’…..believe me. Susan lives in a mansion on Long Island.
