About the Show

Have you ever wondered about all the struggles and obstacles today's stars and celebrities had to overcome to reach their Big Break?  Well, so did we.  Before the Big Break (tm) is an internet celebrity talk-show exclusively broadcast here on BeforeTheBigBreak.com created by Monroe Mann, Phil Malandrino, and Greg Cilmi, based on an original book concept of the same name.  We are very proud of what we have put together, and hope that you will not only be entertained, but also actually learn something to help you with your life, career, and ambitions.

About the Guests

The guests on our show have either become a star and celebrity in their own right, or they are one of the masterminds behind a project that itself has become a huge success.  They are invited on our show because in our minds (and in the minds of countless others) they or their project has unequivocally 'made it'.  While many of our guests are still moving forward with their careers, they have reached a certain level of stature that justifies the sharing of their story, their struggles, and their lessons with all those eager to learn.

About the Producers

Monroe Mann, Phil Malandrino, and Greg Cilmi banded together to create the show you see before you.  How did they come together?  After Monroe returned from his tour of duty in Iraq, Greg Cilmi called him up and said, "Hey, I read your book, The Theatrical Juggernaut, and want to become a client of Unstoppable Artists."  They began working together, and before long, Greg and Monroe were working together on each other's projects.  About a year later, Monroe was producing a film called, "Origami Deathmatch" and cast Phil Malandrino as the Japanese Judge.  Phil, a consummate entrepreneur, and CEO of Photo Dynamics, did more than just act in the film: he also was the first person on set with Monroe every morning, and the last person to leave. Before long, Phil had also become the 2nd Assistant Director on the set, and Monroe and Phil henceforth have been working together on many film projects. Well, one day in 2007, Greg called up Monroe and said, "Hey, I'm doing set design through my company Well Urned Productions for a new tv studio in New Jersey. They are looking for tv concepts; got any?"  "But of course," replied Monroe, and soon, all three of them were pitching this very unique tv concept to this upstart studio in Jersey.  Those negotiations fell apart (oh well!), but we knew that we had a great concept, and after a lunch meeting in Los Angeles with friend and producer Bob Fraser (Love Boat, Full House), Monroe confirmed his hunch that shooting the show ourselves and airing it online on our own website would be a hip and contemporary way to make this show a reality.  And hey, producing it ourselves has proven to be a heck of a lot more fun!
